The sky is blue [and is almost as big as my imagination]

26 Oct

Another beautiful location where you could just lay on your back and watch the clouds blow over. Probably something I’d want to do with a friend or lover by my side. Skies in cities never look this blue, and on days like today I could convince myself that it is totally the work of Photoshop, however my memory and other days reminds me that there is such a sky and that life and nature can be truly this wonderful. Thanks to Nicholas T for the memory.

It’s Cute Day… [Is this Decaf?]

It’s officially cute day here on this blog – obviously this guy didn’t get much sleep and needs his morning cup-a-Joe.
LOL

Tussi – Cute Expression

26 Oct

Tussi

Vanstaffs is one of my contacts on Flickr, and is constantly posting photos on Tussi, the backyard warrier. I love some of the photos that come from the world of Tussi the feline and her adventures with the backyard, the neighbourhood pets, etc.

Sometimes the best photos come with a story!

This one was taken with my camera phone while waiting for our dinner order.

2009 Photo Challenge – Day 296: Box [made from blu-tack]

Box made from Blu-Tack

I fiddle with blu-tac in the office all the time. Today I made a box out of it. One of my colleagues calls it “plasticine for adults” LOL

2009 Challenge: Day 295 [Rule of Thirds]

Remain Seated

Remain Seated

I waited almost too late to get this shot – it was a busy day, but then while upgrading the firmware on my phone, my computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything – this took a little while so I went outside my office to take this shot… one that I have been meaning to take for ages as the chair matches the flooring in the space outside. Unfortunately it was about 30 mins before the sun set and it took 3-4 shots before I got the light the way I wanted.

Finding Photos on Flickr by Camera Type

22 Oct

Big thanks to rootsmith who posted on how to search your own photostream for photos taken with a particular camera type.

Its a URL hack, but fairly easy to do. I wanted to find my photos taken with my camera phone (Nokia N86). Very cool hack!

Thanks!

Dare I say it – nice balls! I just love the colour on this, as do the 240 or so commenters on this photo.  Really nice composition and shot!

2009 Challenge: Day 294 [Window Display]

Hello Kitty for the Little Gambler in you!

Hello Kitty for the Little Gambler in you!

My challenge photo for day 294 came as a result of waiting on the side of the road for my husband to pick me up – I saw this in one of those cutesy shops with all sorts of girlie-girlie knick-knacks for sale. Not my cup of tea, but I had to take this shot when I saw the Hello Kitty Mahjong set and gambling chips. LOL.

I missed a few, eh? [Excited about Nov challenge!!]

20 Oct

Under the TableOh boy have I been busy… and unfortunately my contributions to the 2009 Photo challenge were non-existent for 6 months. Massive let down, but I’m back on it!

Also I’m quite excited about the upcoming November Photo Challenge – using only Camera Phones! The rules are quite good, and I think there are some really cool shots to be taken with camera phones – different limitations and different freedoms as well.Boats heading home - pulau ubin
